Early morning at Pennington Flash

No more photos of the Sabine's gull from me today (hurray!) but I did see it again, at 5:30am before I Ieft for Kent. At first it was in the same place as yesterday, but after a while it began flying around, and twice went as far as the end of the spit before turning back and hawking over the water like a black tern and then eventually settled in the middle of the flash. I did think that this might be a precursor to an early morning departure, but apparently it's been back in its usual spot again today. Yesterday I only saw it make brief flights, so it was nice to see it so well and so active in flight today.
