I've been a birder and a botanist for 40 years, mainly in Britain, but also in southern Europe. I've been moth trapping for over 10 years and have recorded over 340 species in my backyard alone. I also have a lifelong love of butterflies and dragonflies. I've carried out survey work of both freshwater and saltmarsh invertebrates, and I have a passion for spiders, especially the Linyphiidae!
I've seen 51 species of reptiles, and 17 species of amphibians in over 25 years of observing them in Britain and Europe.
